On the 12th of November 2018, I gave a talk on Microsoft Graph API and integrating it with Laravel at the C4DI CodePen Hull, I talked about my experiences working with Microsoft Graph API which is a single unified REST API to access the full Microsoft suite.
I explained how to make use of the functionality as well as providing a demo of the API in action where I showcased a small sample of what could be accomplished. This included management of to-do’s as well as monitoring and reading emails.
It was through my work as Lead Developer at The One Point that I started to work with Microsoft Graph API and discovered it’s potential to help him introduce features that help solve day to day problems that improved access to Outlook emails, calendars and files in OneDrive.
The talk was the 2nd given I've given at a Codepen Hull meetup. I've been a keen supporter of CodePen Hull since its beginnings in late 2016 and plan to continue sharing further insights with the local development community.
I've recently created a Laravel package called MsGraph to allow easy integration with Microsoft Graph API and Laravel
For the past 12 years, I’ve been developing applications for the web using mostly PHP. I do this for a living and love what I do as every day there is something new and exciting to learn.
In my spare time, the web development community is a big part of my life. Whether managing online programming groups and blogs or attending a conference, I find keeping involved helps me stay up to date. This is also my chance to give back to the community that helped me get started, a place I am proud to be apart of.
Besides programming I love spending time with friends and family and can often be found together going out catching the latest movie, staying in playing games on the sofa or planning a trip to someplace I’ve never been before.
